We had a great stay at the Plough Inn, food was superb, service excellent, room was warm and tidy, but was a bit tired looking. Good location, close to Southwold, without the steep prices. Would definitely go again.

We first visited in 2008 and everything was 1st class however this last visit was very forgetable. The rooms are very acceptable but i am afraid the service was inadequate. No breakfast menu, dirty cups on table.Had to ask for towels to be changed also for water bottles @ coffee mugs from mini bar to be changed and milk to be replaced. The Plough claims to have a reputation for good lunches & dinners however the menu for both meals was the same & did not change all the time we were there, this menu was on a chalk board with no printed menus on tables. For £85/night this is totally inadequate.

We have been here on a number of occasions. Each time we have found pleasant and welcoming staff. There is seating in the pub or in the adjoining light and airy restaurant all of which is well spaced out. None of the cram in as many tables as possible here. The menu is large enough to be interesting and appealing but small enough to ensure the produce used it fresh. The service is fast and efficient. The food is always piping hot, well presented and, most importantly, tastes excellent. Excellent value for money in pleasant surroundings.
